We are starting registration for the summer swim season of 2023 on April 1st and classes will start after Memorial weekend. You will need to register in person at the Aquatic Center. Swimming lessons are an essential part of a child’s education. Being able to swim increases confidence and can become an enjoyable and healthy total fitness hobby. For adults who have never learned to swim, or for those who haven’t been swimming for a long time, why not learn to swim today? Swimming lessons aren’t just for children! Beginner

  • Comfort in the water
  • Getting face wet with goggles on
  • Putting head underwater
  • Floating on back
  • Dog paddle
  • Survival float
  • Intro to back stroke

Intermediate

  • Swimming underwater
  • Diving to bottom of pool 4 feet maximum
  • Back stroke width of pool
  • Intro to crawl stroke
  • Breathing safely
  • Jumping into shoulder deep water from pool deck

Advanced

  • Swimming length of pool usassisted
  • Backstroke length of pool
  • Duck dive
  • Dive into the deep end from pool deck
  • Diving to bottom of deep end
  • Dolphin kick
